Bangladesh became, in early 2015, the third Asia Pacific country to select MASA Group’s world leading wargame solution with automated forces, SWORD. Less than 13 months after the initial contract signature, MASA has delivered a completely customized constructive simulation training solution to fulfil the needs of the Bangladesh Army Training and Doctrine Command (ARTDOC).
Just thirteen months after contract award, MASA has delivered a completely customized version of its wargame with automated forces, SWORD, to the Bangladesh ARTDOC, in order to equip its Computerized War-Game Center (CWGC). The simulation has been adapted to reflect specific requirements including the Army’s doctrine, equipment and supplies as well as its operational terrain.
The ARTDOC has chosen to employ SWORD for command post training from Battalion to Division level. The software enables the Army to immerse its training audience in different types of military and civil emergency scenarios. SWORD can simulate and control tens of thousands of soldiers and units.
MASA would like to thank all the visitors that came to our booth at ITEC: it was a pleasure to exhibit there and see how interested by our solutions everyone was!
As MASA’s last User Group meeting in Saumur proved in March, the key to developing world beating training technologies is to cultivate a close and active relationship with your customers. This conduit provides the feedback loop that is vital to continually enhance products and keep them on the leading edge of training technology.
With MASA SWORD now in service in nearly 20 countries, this feedback loop is significant and goes to show why the SWORD constructive training wargame solution continues to be the solution of choice for so many armies and government organizations around the world.
“Customer feedback is so important for us and assists us in designing updates for the product,” explains Enrico Raue, New Markets Development & Sales Manager at MASA. “We always keep the communication channels open through our regional sales managers and field service engineers. It’s part of our culture as a company to listen very closely to our customers.”
At ITEC 2016 and Eurosatory 2016, MASA will be showcasing its latest iteration of SWORD, version 6.5.
This version of SWORD has improvements in the exercise ‘timeline’ application making it possible to make modifications to a created exercise plan in real-time while the simulation exercise is being executed.

Held in Singapore, MilSim is a 2 day conference focussing on the latest innovations, challenges and future requirements of the sector, to an expected crowd of 250 decision makers.
Besides the conferences, visitors will have the opportunity to meet with MASA and discovering the latest innovations of SWORD and SYNERGY on booth #13.
